1st day : (Taluka to Seema)
we started from purola (we had to stay here as we r coming from hrishikesh)(& there is no direct communication b/w hrishikesh & sankri so we had to go up to dharsu by share jeep(160/-)& then took the bus from dharsu for purola(75/-)) at 7 am by bus(50/-) reaching sankri at 10.30...then we took a guide(Rajendra**)(250/-) & ration from sankri & started for taluka(300rs reserved)...At about 12 we started from Taluka reaching at around 5.30p.m ...the max way is inside the forest & walking along with the river throughout.on the way some frozen streams made it difficult for us(2 of my friends fell down)...in Seema we took the gmvn rest house(165/- bed for dorm or 450-500 for db rooms)...we had our dinner at around 6.30 & go to bed at around 8 after camp fire...we are so tired that we fallen asleep within few minutes....
2nd day : (seema to hkd)
Started with a steep climb to go up to almost 1000ft within the span of 200m...there after it is almost gradual or moderate
trek...one place before 4 km of hkd there was a small open area from where we can see the hkd peak barsu pass peak kedar kant & some more local peaks fully covered with snow....it was a mind blowing scene with 3 side valleys & peaks ...in hkd we took a db room (2 db rooms together but we paid for 1 only)(300/-per db room)...our guide made rajma rice for dinner...we had it & went to sleep at around 7.30...the swargrohini ,barsu peak, the valley makes hkd a memorable trek i can bet....
3rd day : (hkd to jaundhar glacier 1/2 back to seema)
next morning we went up early and ready to go at around 5am but our guide told us to stay back as the weather out there in the valley will be chilling & it will be very difficult to go....so we had to wait until 7.30-8 am...then we started for the glacier & can go only up to 3 to 3.5 km as the main glacier is still a long distance (our guide told us it will be started after 4km)away....so we came back to the hkd frh ...our guide already made our lunch ready......after lunch we started for seema & reach there at around 2.30pm....
4th day: (seema to taluka to sankri)
next day we started around 7 am & reached taluka around 12 ...our guide was there already....we suddenly find that he was drunk....we reached sankri from there & after much debate we leave him(he asked for 9 days charge while we are with him for 4 days)...so we had to cut short our journey of kedarkant for our guide
....**don't take rajendra singh ...
there was an association at sankri...u can take guide from there...
